Craig Winn's controversial and inflammatory work, Prophet of Doom, begins with this statement: "Islam is a caustic blend of regurgitated paganism and twisted Bible stories. Muhammad, its lone prophet, conceived his religion solely to satiate his lust for power, sex, and money. He was a terrorist." Needless to say, the book is certain to offend Muslims for it disparages nearly every aspect of Islam. Winn attempts to deflect such criticism upfront by claiming that he is merely quoting the Qur'an and other Islamic texts and is therefore "just the messenger." Further, he claims that he is unconcerned about being offensive because his goal is to educate people about the root causes of terrorism and the inherent dangers of Islam in the same way that early translators of Mein Kampf tried to warn an unsuspecting world of Hitler's intentions. "If we don't shed our ignorance of Islam, many more will perish," he writes.

The truth

By reading this book I've confirmed what many have been screaming since 9/11: Islam is a heinous religion and its members have been massacring different peoples for the purpose of imposing Islam and making it the only "religion" in the world.
Muhammad was a criminal, a barbarian and polygamous. Besides, he preached the extermination and domination of others, as a "sacred" duty.
Their allah, is not God, because God would will never need a human help for his purposes.
Today, ISLAM=surrender is a manner of assassins, criminals and barbarians dominate the world through homicide bombers, slavery and manners of maiming those who do not bend their heads to these barbaric criminals.
History has shown that in order to domain what we call Middle east today, they deleted other nations, including their culture and people. Others were simply erased from history b/c of Islam.
If Muhammad and his legacy can be called a prophet, imagine those who follow him.
A perfect example of Islamic plans to the West can be seen through:
"Extermination of Jews and Subjugation of Christians- Inevitable Goal of History", a sermon that took place by an Iman in May 2005.

The world ought to see the light.

Based on fictions and not facts.

I am a historian, I read this book and in my opinion the writer had only one thing in mind, take advantage of what is happening in the media to make a profit.
This book is poorly written, anyone who knows anything about history would find this book a disgrace.
The author is insulting a Man who has been described in many book prior to the 911 tragedy as one of the most peaceful man who has ever walked on this earth.
I do not recommend this book to anyone, please give your money to a charity, it will be of a better use.

Winn's book is only based on propaganda

winn's book is unreliable, extremely inaccurate and very fake
throughout the whole book, he doesn't know what he's talking about
all quotes taking from the quraan and hadith are incorrect and out of context
i know my religion well, and i know when someone doesn't understand it, or in Winn's case, understands it and purposely attempts to skew its morals and values and destroy its face to the world which America, Israel, Russia, Germany, etc. have already done.. Winn's not the first to do so
i know many people that have converted..they understood Islam, realised it was the truth and took it in instead of stubbornly and cowardly attack it as Winn has done in his failure of a book
i've read the many reviews on this book and those who loved it and attempted to explain it are as ignorant, stubborn and coward as Winn himself
the truth that has been hidden and some gullible people have believed is that in the Torah & bible, there is a prophecy of the coming of Mohammed, and he does have the seal on his back.
also, Winn's 'argument' that the Muhammed is illiterate fires back on him - that is more proof that the quraan was not written by him but revelated to him from God
alsoWinn's argument that the quraan is full of hate towards disbelievers and that Jihad (the Western perception of it) should be undertaken until Islam spreads everywhere is also false - if he really did read the quraan and the hadith he would realised it. in the holy quraan itself and in serveral hadiths God has ordered the Muslims to make peace with all people, Muslims and non-Muslims, unless they attack them - i.e. Jihad is only in self defence. All non-Muslims are entitled to the right to live peacefully in any land if they do not attack Islam, and Muslims are punished for hurting the non-Muslims.
Winn shows his great ignorance in his book about the true meaning of 'Jihad'. As i said before, these days Jihad to the westerns is simply killing and blowing bombs - a complete propaganda. Jihad is composed of over 14 section, only one of which is fighting, and fighting only in self-defence. other jihad includes stopping oneself from commiting crimes (murder, theft, lying, etc.), doing good to others, forgiving others, praying, educating oneself,educating other (about religion and sciences of the world), only to name a few. Winn has obviously surpassed all these good aspects of jihad, relying on the propaganda of the media, and greatly exaggerates the 'fighting' aspect of it.
Winn again proves himself ignorant when he named his book. Muhammed pduh didn't bring 'doom', if you read about the true Islam instead of Winn's lies you will realise that the Prophet brought light to a world of darkness. If Islam is all about killing and murder, how could it have spread and still spreads at the unbelievable rate it dooes today? How could the prophet start off from a city all by himself with the word of Islam and spread it by killing people? if Islam is so injust as Winn writes then how did it spread by word of mouth from Saudi Arabia to the Far East of China and beyond Ethiopia in Africa? if islam was an injust religion, does Winn think that ANYONE would have accepted it? it would have simply died out, but has thrived for 1426 years now. his arguments are obviously in vain as he only proves himself to be extremely ignorant and embarasses himself severely in his book. my advice to Winn...don't write another book
